SKY FILMS and Sky Blue Cinematix have formed a cross-border commercial alliance focused on securing brand integrations and sponsors for the Turkish feature film “Spring in Imroz” (“İmroz’da Bahar”). The Sky Films Sky Blue partnership, announced Aug. 3, is the latest move by Sky Blue Cinematix to build a commercial presence in Türkiye’s film and television business.
The arrangement pairs SKY FILMS’ production capabilities with Sky Blue Cinematix’s planned role leading commercial partnerships and global brand integration. The companies named no brands or sponsors attached to the film, and disclosed no financial terms, contract duration, exclusivity provisions, distribution plans or release date.
What does the Sky Films Sky Blue partnership cover?
The alliance begins with “Spring in Imroz,” with further titles from SKY FILMS’ catalogue intended to follow. Brand integration puts a company’s products or identity into entertainment content, rather than relying only on conventional advertising placed around it.
Sky Blue Cinematix describes itself as a content and entertainment unit of Sky Blue Group that specializes in brand integration and content monetisation. Its announcement says its commercial network spans India, Malaysia, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, South Korea, Nigeria and Türkiye; that international reach is the companies’ stated ambition for the arrangement, rather than evidence of confirmed brand deals.
SKY FILMS says it was founded by Emre Oskay and has delivered more than 70 pieces of content. The Turkish company says it develops, produces and services feature films, television and streaming series, documentaries, short films and commercial campaigns.
Why the Türkiye context matters
The deal follows Sky Blue Cinematix’s June announcement that it had entered the Turkish market. In that release, the company said Robert Zara became business director and Onur Sözener head of sales for its local operations, with both appointments effective June 1.
Sky Blue Cinematix also announced a separate partnership with Moskitos Films on July 28. Under that proposed arrangement, it was to lead commercial and brand-integration work while Moskitos Films was to oversee creative development and production. The companies have not said the Moskitos agreement is connected to the SKY FILMS alliance.
For “Spring in Imroz,” the practical next test will be whether the global brand-integration effort for the Turkish feature film produces announced sponsors or other commercial partnerships. Those details were not included in the Aug. 3 announcement.
