An Israeli attack on the al-Mawasi camp in Khan Younis killed several people, including a mother and her child, Al Jazeera reported Tuesday. The report said the strike also destroyed more than 100 tents used by displaced Palestinians, forcing hundreds of people from their shelter.

Al-Mawasi has housed Palestinians displaced during the war in Gaza. According to Al Jazeera, the attack hit tents in the camp and left residents without the temporary shelter they had been using.

The broadcaster reported at least two deaths in the attack. It did not provide further details on the timing of the strike, the identities of those killed or any comment from Israeli authorities.
