Xtra’s Muse vlogging camera is selling for $329 at Amazon, a new low price reported by The Verge. The deal puts the compact camera below DJI’s Osmo Pocket 3, a closely related rival that The Verge says is currently $378 at multiple retailers after spending much of the year around $500.

The Muse had sold for about $100 more three months ago, according to The Verge, and was listed at $380 over the past month. The site described the discount as the camera’s lowest price so far.

The Verge’s Sean Hollister previously reported that the Muse appeared to match DJI’s Osmo Pocket 3 in nearly every hands-on respect. DJI did not comment to The Verge on whether it was involved with Xtra.

The Muse is aimed at creators who want stabilized video from a small dedicated camera. The Verge noted that the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 has been used for its own short-form video work and framed the Muse as an option for vlogging or other shooting situations where a phone may not deliver the same footage quality.

Firmware update added wireless mic support

The Verge reported that the Muse lacked Bluetooth microphone support when it launched, which meant DJI’s wireless microphones could not be used with it at first. Xtra’s February firmware update changed that, according to a compatibility document cited by The Verge.

The updated camera can connect wirelessly to several microphones, including DJI’s Mic 2, Mic Mini and Mic 3, The Verge reported. That change gives the Muse a more complete setup for creators who want compact camera gear paired with wireless audio.

Other discounts reported by The Verge

The Verge also highlighted a deal on Resident Evil Requiem for PC. Steam lists the game at $55.99 during its summer sale, while Newegg is offering it for $44.99 with the code 5DSUMMER, according to the report.

That Newegg price is the lowest The Verge said it has seen for the game and works out to more than 30 percent off the original cost. The Verge’s coverage described Requiem as a strong direction for the long-running series, mixing first-person horror with elements tied to Resident Evil 4’s over-the-shoulder action style.

Best Buy still has Apple’s previous-generation 11-inch iPad Air with the M3 chip for $499 in a 128GB model with Wi-Fi and 5G, according to The Verge. The report said Amazon and Walmart were either out of stock or selling refurbished units at about $450 and up.

The Verge noted that Best Buy is also selling the Wi-Fi-only version at the same price, making the cellular model the better value. The M3 iPad Air is positioned as a cheaper alternative to the newer M4 iPad Air, which The Verge said starts at $749 after Apple’s recent price increases.

Apple’s black Magic Mouse is also discounted to $79.99 at Amazon, which The Verge said is its lowest recorded price. The latest model charges over USB-C and includes a woven cable, though the charging port remains on the underside of the mouse.
