Woot is offering a limited discount on the Nintendo Switch 2, giving new customers $50 off the console with a coupon code, The Verge reported. The deal is notable because price cuts on Nintendo’s newest console have been scarce, and The Verge has reported that the Switch 2’s price is set to rise in September.
The promotion is part of Woot’s 22nd anniversary sales week, according to The Verge. The retailer lists the Nintendo Switch 2 at its usual $449.99 price, with different coupon savings depending on whether a buyer already has a Woot account.
Customers who already have an account can get $22 off, while new customers can receive $50 off, The Verge reported. Both discounts require the coupon code GIFT26 at checkout.
Deal terms
The offer runs through July 25, 2026, at 11:58 p.m. CT, unless Woot sells out of the console first, according to The Verge. The coupon can be used once per account.
The Verge said the discount may appeal to buyers who were already planning to buy accessories or games with the console. It pointed to extras such as a controller, screen protector or carrying case as common add-ons for a new Switch 2 purchase.
Price increase coming
The timing matters because The Verge has reported that Nintendo plans to raise the Switch 2’s price to $499.99 on Sept. 1, 2026. The console currently sells for $449.99 outside the Woot discount, according to The Verge.
The Verge also reported that a $499.99 Switch 2 bundle is available now with a discounted game included. Nintendo has not said whether that bundle will remain available after the September price increase, according to The Verge.
The Switch 2 includes a 7.9-inch screen, The Verge reported in its coverage of the console. The new Woot promotion gives shoppers a short window to buy the hardware below its current regular price before the planned price change takes effect.
As with many short-term electronics deals, the final availability depends on Woot’s stock and the coupon deadline. The Verge reported that buyers must apply GIFT26 at checkout to receive the advertised savings.
