Shark’s ChillPill Personal Fan and Cooling System is back down to $99.99 at Amazon and Costco, putting the wearable cooling gadget $30 below its listed $129.99 price. The discount matters for shoppers looking for a more flexible summer fan, because the device works as a wearable cooler, clip-on fan or tabletop unit.

Amazon’s listing shows the ChillPill at $99.99. Costco lists the Shark ChillPill 2-in-1 Fan and InstaChill Personal Cooling System at the same price for members, and includes a clip, crossbody strap and InstaChill Cooling Plate at no extra charge.

What the ChillPill does

The ChillPill combines a rechargeable fan with what Shark describes as a dry-touch evaporative misting system. The design is meant to be worn, clipped to another item or twisted into a desk-fan position, giving it more use cases than a basic handheld portable fan.

Shark presents the device as an option for commuting, standing in lines, exercising, traveling or sitting at a desk. The company also says it can be clipped to items such as a purse or stroller, which could make it easier to keep nearby while moving around.

The fan has 10 speed settings, according to Shark, with different noise levels tied to those settings. That gives users the option to choose a quieter airflow indoors or a stronger setting outside, depending on the situation.

Misting and battery details

When airflow alone is not enough, the ChillPill can run its evaporative mist function. Shark says the dry-touch mist is designed to cool skin without soaking clothing.

The misting system can be set to run continuously or in intervals, according to Shark. The interval option is intended to stretch the water supply longer, while continuous misting provides steadier cooling.

Shark says the ChillPill can operate for up to 11 hours on its lowest fan setting. Battery life will vary by setting and feature use, but that top estimate points to all-day use for lighter cooling needs.

The device charges over USB-C, according to Shark. That means many buyers may be able to use the same type of cable they already carry for a phone, tablet or laptop.

Where the deal stands

At $99.99, the current Amazon and Costco pricing matches the product’s lowest listed deal price. The main difference is Costco’s member bundle, which adds accessories including the clip, crossbody strap and cooling plate.

The ChillPill costs more than many basic portable fans, but Shark is positioning it as a more adaptable cooling system. The current discount narrows that gap for shoppers who want the combined fan, misting and wearable design rather than a standard handheld model.
