Retailers cut prices on select iPad Pro and iPad Air models
Amazon and Best Buy are offering discounts on higher-end iPads after recent Apple price increases, with several other tech deals also available.

Amazon and Best Buy have marked down select Apple iPad models, giving buyers a temporary break after Apple raised prices on a number of products last month, according to The Verge. The largest iPad offers focus on premium or high-storage configurations rather than entry-level tablets.
The 13-inch iPad Pro with Apple’s M5 chip and 512GB of storage is listed at $1,549.99 at Amazon, down from its usual $1,699 price. Best Buy is selling the same Wi-Fi configuration for $1,599, a $100 discount, according to The Verge.
The Verge describes the 13-inch iPad Pro M5 as Apple’s most premium iPad. The model includes an OLED display, Apple Pencil Pro and Magic Keyboard support, charging at up to 60W, and performance from the M5 processor, according to the publication.
Best Buy is also discounting a high-capacity version of the 11-inch iPad Air with Apple’s M3 chip. The 1TB model with Wi-Fi and 5G cellular connectivity is listed at $749, which The Verge says is $500 below the suggested retail price.
The discounted iPad Air M3 is available in blue, purple, space gray and starlight through Best Buy, according to The Verge. The publication notes that the M3 chip is an older Apple processor, but the sale puts 1TB of storage at only $40 more than the base 11-inch iPad Air M4 model with 128GB of storage.
Other tech deals
Sony is selling certified refurbished PlayStation 5 Slim Digital Edition consoles for $499, according to The Verge. That price is $100 below the usual price, and Sony says the units have been tested and certified to perform like new consoles, though they may have minor cosmetic marks.
The refurbished PS5 Slim Digital Edition models include 1TB of storage, compared with 825GB on newer models cited by The Verge. Sony also includes a one-year warranty, according to the report.
Amazon is listing a four-pack of second-generation Apple AirTags for $89.99, down from the usual $99.99 price, according to The Verge. The publication says that matches the trackers’ lowest price to date.
The Verge says the updated AirTags have louder speakers, improved precision tracking, one-touch pairing with iOS devices and more than a year of use from a replaceable battery.
Amazon also has the Razer Viper V3 Pro wireless gaming mouse listed for $99.99, about $30 less than its usual price, according to The Verge. The mouse has an 8K polling rate, a 35K DPI sensor, eight programmable buttons, a 54-gram weight and up to 95 hours of battery life on one charge, the publication reported.
