HP OmniBook X Flip drops to $999.99 at Best Buy
Best Buy is discounting HP’s 14-inch OLED convertible laptop by $650, with a Core Ultra 7 chip, 16GB of memory and a 1TB SSD.

Best Buy is selling HP’s OmniBook X Flip 2 in 1 for $999.99, down from its listed $1,649.99 price. The discount puts a 14-inch convertible Windows laptop with an OLED touchscreen, 16GB of memory and 1TB of storage under the $1,000 mark.
The deal is notable because The Verge reported that laptops with this mix of memory, storage and display hardware are harder to find at this price while component costs remain elevated. Best Buy’s listing shows the discounted model in meteor silver with an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor.
What Best Buy lists in the deal
According to Best Buy, the HP OmniBook X Flip 2 in 1 on sale includes 16GB of LPDDR5X memory and a 1TB solid-state drive. The laptop also has a 1920 x 1200 OLED touchscreen, according to The Verge.
The Verge said the OLED panel should offer darker black levels and quicker response times than screens in many comparable laptops. The display uses a 16:10 aspect ratio, which The Verge said allows more on-screen content to fit at once.
HP’s convertible design gives the laptop a 360-degree hinge, according to The Verge. That lets the screen fold back for tablet-style use or sit in a tent position for watching video.
Ports and wireless support
The Verge said the OmniBook X Flip configuration includes two Thunderbolt 4 ports, HDMI 2.1, two USB-A ports and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The same report lists Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0 support.
The model is part of HP’s current OmniBook lineup, and The Verge describes it as a Copilot Plus PC. That designation means it includes a dedicated neural processing unit for certain AI-related tasks, according to The Verge.
The Verge cited file search assistance and live video transcription as examples of tasks that can use the NPU. The article did not say buyers must use Copilot features to benefit from the laptop’s other hardware.
