GoPro Max 2 bundle drops to $369 with extra batteries and mounts
Amazon is selling the GoPro Max 2 accessory bundle for $369, putting the 360-degree camera kit close to the price of the standalone model.

GoPro’s Max 2 accessory bundle is on sale for $369 at Amazon, bringing the 360-degree action camera kit within $70 of the standalone camera’s listed price. The deal matters for buyers who would otherwise need to add batteries, storage and mounting gear separately before taking the camera on longer shoots.
Amazon lists the accessory bundle at $369, down from $569. Best Buy and GoPro also list the bundle around the same price, according to their product pages, while Amazon’s listing for the base Max 2 camera puts that model at $299.
The Max 2 is GoPro’s 360-degree camera, and GoPro says it can record 8K 360-degree video at 30 frames per second. The company also says the camera can shoot 180-degree 4K video at 60 frames per second and works with the broad range of GoPro-compatible mounts.
What comes in the bundle
The discounted kit includes the Max 2 camera plus several accessories aimed at longer outings and more flexible mounting. According to the retailer listings, the bundle includes:
- A four-foot extension pole
- Two protective lens caps
- Two high-capacity batteries
- A 64GB microSD card
- A curved adhesive mount
- A mounting buckle for GoPro mounts
- A mounting finger adapter for cameras
- Two thumb screws
- A wrist lanyard
- A microfiber cloth
- A USB-C cable
The standalone Max 2 package includes many of the smaller items, but it comes with fewer mounting options, one battery, no microSD card and no extension pole, according to the product listings. The extension pole and an extra battery cost $75 when purchased separately, so the bundle’s added hardware accounts for much of the $70 gap between the sale price and the base camera.
Camera features
GoPro says the Max 2 uses a six-microphone array to capture sound from all directions and reduce wind noise automatically. The camera can also connect to Bluetooth microphones, including earbuds used as a mic, according to GoPro’s product information.
The camera has a 1.82-inch LCD touchscreen for reviewing footage and changing settings. GoPro says the Max 2 is waterproof to 16 feet, which puts swimming and surfing within its intended use cases.
Battery life depends on recording mode. GoPro lists a single battery at up to 66 minutes when shooting at full 8K resolution, or up to 90 minutes at 5.6K.
The Max 2 also has replaceable lenses, a practical feature for an action camera that may be used around water, dirt and hard surfaces. If a lens is damaged in a fall, GoPro says the user can replace it rather than retiring the camera.
