Anker’s Soundcore Boom 2 drops to $69.99 at Woot

Woot is selling Anker’s Soundcore Boom 2 Bluetooth speaker for $69.99 through July 10, The Verge reported. The sale puts the portable speaker below $100 while offering a waterproof build, long battery life and higher-output audio than many smaller models in its price range, according to the report.
The Verge said the Woot price is $20 lower than the reduced price available from other retailers, including Amazon. The speaker originally sold for $129.99, according to the report, meaning Woot’s listing cuts the price to a little over half of the original tag.
What the speaker offers
According to The Verge, the Soundcore Boom 2 is designed for outdoor use, including poolside or yard listening. The speaker can play for up to 24 hours on one charge, the report said.
The Verge reported that the Boom 2 uses a 50W subwoofer and two 15W tweeters. That hardware should give it stronger and clearer output than many compact Bluetooth speakers sold near the same price, according to the report.
The speaker carries an IPX7 rating, which The Verge described as waterproof and submersible. The report also said the Boom 2 can float while playing audio and includes a built-in microphone for calls.
App controls and extra features
The Verge said Anker’s companion app lets owners change the equalizer and adjust the speaker’s built-in lighting effects. The Boom 2 also includes a USB-A port that can charge other devices at up to 5W, according to the report.
The speaker supports Anker’s PartyCast 2.0 feature, which lets it pair with other compatible Anker speakers for broader sound coverage, The Verge reported. Playback is wireless only: the report said the Boom 2 does not include a 3.5mm auxiliary input, a common omission on waterproof speakers.
The deal is aimed at buyers looking for a larger portable Bluetooth speaker without paying full price for a rugged model. The Verge framed the Woot listing as a short-term sale, with the $69.99 price available only through July 10.
