Acer’s Swift Go 16 AI is selling for $899.99 at Best Buy, according to The Verge, putting a 16-inch OLED Windows laptop with 32GB of memory under the $1,000 mark. The deal stands out because The Verge says higher memory and storage costs have made well-equipped laptops harder to find at that price.

Best Buy lists the laptop’s regular price at $1,549.99, according to The Verge. The sale price amounts to a 42% discount from that list price.

The configuration cited by The Verge includes an Intel Core Ultra 7 355 processor, 32GB of LPDDR5X memory and a 1TB solid-state drive. Those specs put the Swift Go 16 AI above many budget laptops on memory and storage, while keeping the sale price below four figures.

Display and design

The Verge says the Swift Go 16 AI has a 16-inch OLED touchscreen with a 1,920 x 1,200 resolution. The panel uses a 16:10 aspect ratio, which gives the screen more vertical space than a traditional 16:9 display.

The laptop also has a 180-degree hinge, according to The Verge, allowing the screen to fold flat. The Verge describes the touchpad as large and says it uses a Corning Gorilla Glass surface, while the backlit keyboard includes a numeric keypad.

Battery, graphics and ports

The Verge says the Swift Go 16 AI uses integrated Intel graphics, which it does not recommend for demanding games. It says the laptop should have enough power for lighter titles such as Balatro.

Battery life can exceed 20 hours on a charge depending on brightness settings, according to The Verge. Actual runtime would depend on use, but that figure is a notable claim for a 16-inch laptop with an OLED display.

The port selection is broader than many slim laptops, The Verge says. The Swift Go 16 AI includes two USB-A 3.2 ports, two USB-C ports with Thunderbolt 4 support, HDMI 2.1, a microSD card slot and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The sale is available at Best Buy, according to The Verge. The report did not say how long the discounted price will remain available.
