Amazon has discounted the Dyson PencilWash cordless hard-floor cleaner to $199.99 for Prime Day, according to The Verge. The $150 cut takes the powered wet mop well below its listed $350 price, making it the lowest price The Verge has seen for the device.

The PencilWash is a slim, stick-style electric mop built for hard household flooring, The Verge reported. It shares a design family with Dyson’s PencilVac Fluffycones vacuum, but it is meant for one task: wet-cleaning floors.

What the cleaner offers

According to The Verge, the PencilWash uses a narrow cleaning head and a pivoting neck that let it fit low under furniture. Dyson says the cordless cleaner can run for 30 minutes before it needs to return to its included charging dock.

Dyson also says the cleaner’s 300ml water tank can cover up to 1,000 square feet before needing a refill, according to The Verge. The device is intended for hard surfaces around the home, though The Verge did not list specific flooring types.

The Verge noted that the PencilWash weighs about five pounds before adding water or cleaning solution. Its self-propelling brush is designed to help move the cleaner across floors, though The Verge said the weight could be more noticeable when using it on stairs.

How the price compares

At $199.99, the PencilWash remains a relatively expensive single-purpose cleaning tool, The Verge reported. The sale price is still far below Dyson’s $600 PencilVac Fluffycones, another slim cordless device in the same broader product line.

The Verge described the PencilWash as a companion-like product to the PencilVac, with the mop handling wet floor cleaning while the vacuum handles debris. The deal appears as part of Amazon Prime Day 2026 coverage.

Amazon’s listing cited by The Verge shows the Dyson PencilWash at $200 after the discount. The Verge also disclosed that Vox Media may earn a commission when readers buy through its links.
