Meghnoya Advising has launched Power Fluency executive coaching, a methodology for senior leaders facing new roles, board relationships and other high-stakes organizational transitions. The firm says the offering is intended to help leaders assess formal and informal power structures as their responsibilities expand.
Power Fluency is designed for executives and leadership teams at large companies, startups, professional sports organizations, healthcare and life-sciences businesses, government institutions and nonprofits. The announcement places the service in the executive-coaching market, with an emphasis on authority, influence and organizational relationships rather than communication style alone.
What is Power Fluency executive coaching?
Majmudar defines Power Fluency as the ability to recognize visible and unspoken dynamics of authority and influence inside an organization, then develop choices for responding. In practical terms, the approach asks leaders to examine the rules about power, belonging and authority that may shape how they act in senior roles.
Majmudar contrasts that work with coaching focused chiefly on behavior, communication, personality assessments or strategic frameworks. Her approach combines external strategy with what she calls a leader's internal architecture: assumptions and patterns formed through family, community and wider systems that can affect how a person uses authority.
“Most leaders who come to me haven't hit a skills gap,” Majmudar said in the announcement. “They've hit a game-literacy gap.” Majmudar says some leaders who come to her may interpret unfamiliar organizational rules as a skills problem.
Where does the methodology apply?
The firm identifies several settings for the Power Fluency executive coaching methodology. For startup founders, those include scaling an organization, managing a board, assembling an executive team and turning a founder's vision into an operating company.
In healthcare and life sciences, Meghnoya Advising points to board relationships, regulatory complexity and consequential decisions. For professional sports organizations, it cites organizational growth and culture shifts as sports, entertainment and technology become more closely connected.
- Large-company leaders preparing for advancement and seeking a clearer view of how senior roles are evaluated.
- New executives handling the authority and expectations that come with a first senior post.
- Government and public-sector teams working across communities and stakeholders with different cultural backgrounds and needs.
- Nonprofit leaders, particularly in democracy and civic organizations, where the firm says values and power structures are central considerations.
The practice says it also focuses on “firsts and onlys,” including first-time and first-generation executives entering organizations where established power rules may be unfamiliar. Majmudar says she has spent 25 years advising leaders across the listed sectors.
Meghnoya Advising is a San Francisco-based executive-coaching and leadership-advisory practice founded by Majmudar. The announcement does not provide a program format, pricing, named client engagements or outcome data for Power Fluency.
