Lucid Q3 deliveries 2026 totaled 3,806 vehicles, down 6.7% from a year earlier, while the electric-vehicle maker produced 2,954 vehicles from July through September. The gap between deliveries and production is consistent with Lucid reducing vehicles already built as it cuts factory output.
Lucid delivered 4,078 vehicles in the third quarter of 2025, CNBC reported. It produced 3,891 vehicles in that earlier quarter, though that figure excluded more than 1,000 vehicles sent to Saudi Arabia for final assembly, according to Electrek.
Why did Lucid produce fewer vehicles than it delivered in Q3?
Lucid delivered 852 more vehicles than it produced during the quarter. Electrek reported that this was the first quarter of 2026 in which deliveries exceeded production, following a first half in which Lucid built 3,228 more vehicles than it delivered.
That does not establish a measure of demand by itself, but it is consistent with a drawdown in inventory. Lucid does not report deliveries by vehicle model, and the available figures do not quantify demand for its Gravity SUV.
Production fell from 4,774 vehicles in the second quarter to 2,954 in the third, a decline of about 38%, Electrek reported. Deliveries also declined from 3,953 in the second quarter.
CNBC said the quarter was the first since Lucid reduced its Arizona plant from two shifts to one. CNBC described the change as part of an operational reset under Chief Executive Silvio Napoli, who began leading the company in June.
How do Lucid's production figures compare with last year?
A straightforward year-over-year production comparison has a reporting limitation. Lucid's reported third-quarter 2025 total did not include the vehicles sent to Saudi Arabia for final assembly, while its 2026 reporting counts all vehicles leaving the Arizona factory, Electrek reported. The 2025 and 2026 figures therefore are not fully comparable on a like-for-like basis.
Through the first nine months of 2026, Lucid produced 13,228 vehicles and delivered 10,852, based on the quarterly figures reported by Electrek. CNBC said deliveries through the third quarter were 3.4% higher than in the corresponding period a year earlier, while reported production was up 33% after output increased earlier in the year.
Lucid had identified $1.4 billion in possible 2026 cash-flow improvements, CNBC reported. The company said the opportunities included about $600 million to $800 million related to vehicle inventory, $500 million in capital spending and $200 million in operating expenses. Lucid said it would report full third-quarter financial results after the market closes on Nov. 9.
