Xreal’s One Pro and 1S smart glasses are being sold at $50 discounts during Prime Day, The Verge reported. The cuts matter for buyers weighing wearable displays because both models normally sell for hundreds of dollars and the sale was described as rare.
According to The Verge, the higher-end Xreal One Pro is available for $549, down from its usual $599 price. The Xreal 1S is listed at about $399 to $400, down from $450, with the offer set to end at 1:00 AM ET, The Verge reported.
Best Buy is offering both discounted models, according to The Verge. The One Pro is also available at the same sale price directly from Xreal, The Verge reported.
What the glasses offer
The Verge says both pairs use micro-OLED displays and optics that create the effect of a large screen in front of the wearer’s eyes. The glasses support three degrees of freedom, which allows the projected screen to appear fixed in place while the wearer moves.
Both models include built-in speakers tuned by Bose, according to The Verge. The publication said the speakers deliver strong low-end audio performance, which it described as useful for watching video and playing games.
The Verge reported that both glasses connect over USB-C to compatible devices, including phones, tablets and handheld PCs such as Valve’s Steam Deck. The publication said they do not work with Nintendo’s Switch or Switch 2.
The product listings cited by The Verge describe the Xreal 1S as having a 52-degree field of view and a 120Hz display. The Xreal One Pro listing describes a 171-inch full-HD 120Hz display experience and says the model supports iPhone 16 and 15, Steam Deck, ROG handhelds, Macs, PCs, Android and iOS devices.
How the models differ
The Verge said the two glasses share most of their core features. The main differences cited by the publication favor the One Pro, which it said provides a cleaner-looking image than the 1S.
According to The Verge, the One Pro handles reflections better, shows stronger black levels in bright environments and produces an overall sharper picture. The 1S is the lower-priced option in the sale, while the One Pro remains the premium model.
The Verge also described both pairs as well built, balanced and relatively light for glasses in this price range. The publication said that design helps reduce strain around the ears during use.
The discounted prices appeared as part of The Verge’s Prime Day deal coverage. The Verge also disclosed that Vox Media may earn a commission when readers buy products through its links.
