Prime Day tech deals bring chargers, speakers and smart gear below $50

Amazon Prime Day discounts have pushed a range of tech accessories and gadgets below $50, according to The Verge. The list matters for shoppers looking for smaller purchases, from chargers and speakers to smart home gear, without moving into higher-priced electronics.

The Verge’s Brad Bourque reported that the deals will be updated during the sale as more prices change. Vox Media, which owns The Verge, said it may earn a commission when readers buy through its links.

Accessories and everyday gear

The Verge listed Hoto’s 3.6V Electric Screwdriver Kit Pro at $28, down from $50, at Amazon and Walmart. The rechargeable tool includes three torque settings, a speed of up to 220 rpm, a circular LED light, 25 steel bits and an extension bar, according to The Verge.

Anker’s Nano 45W USB-C charger with a display was listed at $26, down from $40, through Amazon for Prime members and through Anker with a code, The Verge reported. The charger has one USB-C port, folding prongs and a screen that shows charging information.

The Tile Slim 2024 tracker was priced at $22, down from $30, at Amazon and Walmart, according to The Verge. The wallet-sized tracker has a stated Bluetooth range of 350 feet and up to three years of battery life.

The Verge also highlighted Moft’s Adhesive Laptop Stand for $20, down from $30, at Amazon. It described the stand as a low-profile accessory that folds flat for carrying with a laptop.

Speakers, streaming and smart home

For portable audio, The Verge listed the JBL Go 4 at $30 at Best Buy, down from $50, with Amazon selling it for $38. The small Bluetooth speaker is rated IP67 for dust and water resistance, has up to seven hours of battery life and can connect to two devices, according to The Verge.

Tribit’s StormBox Micro 2 was listed at $43 for Prime members at Amazon, down from $70, The Verge reported. The compact Bluetooth speaker includes a built-in strap for attaching it to objects.

The fifth-generation Amazon Echo Dot was priced at $35, down from $50, according to The Verge. The smart speaker includes a temperature sensor and can work as an Eero Wi-Fi extender.

Amazon’s Fire TV Stick 4K Plus was listed at $25, half its $50 price, The Verge reported. The streaming stick supports 4K video, Wi-Fi 6, Dolby Atmos, Dolby Vision and HDR10 Plus.

Smart home deals included the SwitchBot Smart Switch Button Pusher at $20, down from $30, at Amazon and SwitchBot with a code, according to The Verge. GE Cync smart bulbs in a two-pack were listed at $17, down from $24, with support for Alexa, Google Assistant, Matter and Apple Home compatibility, The Verge reported.

Gaming and storage

The Verge listed the Glorious Model O Eternal gaming mouse at $30 at Walmart, compared with $31 at Amazon and $35 at Best Buy. The mouse has RGB lighting, six programmable buttons and a 12K optical sensor.

8BitDo’s Retro 18 Mechanical Numpad was priced at $36 at Amazon and 8BitDo, down from $45, with Best Buy listing it at $40, according to The Verge. The numpad supports wireless use, calculator mode and hot-swappable mechanical switches.

The 8BitDo Ultimate 2 Wireless Controller was listed at $41 in white and $47 in black at Amazon, The Verge reported. The controller includes extra buttons, LED lighting and tunneling magnetoresistance joysticks.

For storage, The Verge highlighted Samsung’s P9 microSD Express card at $40 for the 256GB version, down from $75. The card offers sequential read speeds of up to 800MB/s, though The Verge said only devices with a microSD Express slot can use its top speeds.
