Hoto’s PixelDrive cordless screwdriver is selling for $59.99 at Amazon, a $20 discount that The Verge says matches the tool’s lowest price so far. The deal puts a compact, rechargeable driver aimed at furniture assembly and electronics repair back at a price below Hoto’s own $80 listing.

The PixelDrive is a cordless electric screwdriver with an adjustable 6Nm torque system, according to The Verge. It ships with 30 bits meant to cover many common screw types, stored in a small cylindrical case.

The tool is positioned for routine home jobs rather than heavy construction. The Verge cited examples including tightening furniture screws, working on electronics, and assembling items such as desks, bookshelves and TV stands.

What the screwdriver includes

The PixelDrive has six torque settings, letting users lower power for more delicate work or raise it for furniture assembly, according to The Verge. It also has two speed modes: 80RPM for slower, more controlled driving and 200RPM for faster work.

A built-in display shows the selected torque setting and remaining battery level, The Verge reported. Hoto also includes an integrated LED light for use in darker spots, such as under a desk or inside a cabinet.

The screwdriver uses a rechargeable 2,000mAh battery and charges over USB-C, according to The Verge. That design avoids the need for disposable batteries.

Where the deal stands

Amazon is listing the PixelDrive at $59.99, while The Verge’s deal listing showed Hoto selling it for $80. The Verge described Amazon’s price as 25% off and said it matches the best price the publication has seen for the screwdriver.

The Verge’s Sheena Vasani reported the deal on July 6, noting that the driver could be useful for people with recently purchased furniture still waiting to be assembled. As with many online deals, availability and pricing can change after publication.
