Amazon has cut the 256GB Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra to $919.99 for Prime Day, according to The Verge. The discount is notable because Samsung’s high-end phone arrived in March and brings a built-in privacy display, upgraded cameras and S Pen support.
The Verge reported that the 256GB model usually sells for $1,099.99, putting the Prime Day price $180 lower. Its deal listing also points to Best Buy selling the same 256GB version for $935, while Amazon’s 512GB model is listed at $1,120.
What the S26 Ultra includes
The Galaxy S26 Ultra has a 6.9-inch display and is the only model in Samsung’s S26 lineup with the company’s new Privacy Display, according to The Verge. The feature is designed to reduce what people can see from an angle, similar to the effect of some privacy screen protectors.
The Verge said users can turn the Privacy Display on as needed and can limit it to notifications. That setting is meant for situations where someone may want to show content on the screen while keeping messages or alerts harder for nearby people to read.
The display feature comes with a trade-off. The Verge’s coverage says it slightly dulls colors, with a stronger effect on notifications.
Camera, storage and charging details
The S26 Ultra includes four rear cameras, according to The Verge. The hardware includes a 200-megapixel main sensor and two telephoto lenses.
The phone also ships with 256GB of internal storage and 12GB of memory in the discounted configuration, The Verge reported. It supports charging at up to 60W when used with a compatible charger.
Samsung’s Ultra model continues to include the S Pen, and the phone has a built-in slot for storing the stylus, according to The Verge. One omission highlighted in the report is the lack of a Qi2 magnet, which means buyers who want magnetic accessory support may need a compatible case.
The Prime Day price puts the S26 Ultra below the $1,000 mark in its base storage configuration. For shoppers comparing models, the main differences called out by The Verge are the Ultra’s privacy-focused screen feature, the included stylus and the upgraded camera hardware.
