Columbus agency adds AEO web-development service for local businesses
Columbus Marketing Experts says its new technical tier is aimed at helping Central Ohio companies stay visible in AI-driven search and bot discovery.

Columbus Marketing Experts has launched a web-development and answer engine optimization service for Central Ohio companies facing changes in search traffic. The Hilliard-based agency is positioning the offering around generative search, AI Overviews and automated bots that gather information for buyers before they visit a website.
The new tier focuses on machine-readable web infrastructure, a technical approach meant to make business information easier for software systems to interpret. It adds structured data arrays, semantic code pipelines and real-time schema layers inside a company’s website code.
That work sits in a growing corner of digital marketing known as AEO, or answer engine optimization. While traditional search engine optimization is built around ranking pages in search results, AEO is aimed at getting a company’s information surfaced in AI-generated summaries and other automated answer systems.
Neil Colvin, founder and lead marketing consultant at Columbus Marketing Experts, said standard website code can be difficult for AI search systems to read accurately. He said the agency’s framework is designed to reduce that friction by giving bots and search tools clearer signals about a local company’s services, products and authority.
The agency says the service is meant for businesses whose sites were built mainly for human visitors and conventional search engines. In the company’s view, websites that rely heavily on video, animation or complex visual scripts can create obstacles for automated agents trying to extract basic business information.
Those concerns have become more common as search engines add AI-generated answers and as software agents begin to scan websites on behalf of consumers and corporate buyers. For local companies, the risk is that discovery may happen before a person ever reaches a homepage, making structured and machine-readable information more important.
The agency’s AEO web development services for Central Ohio businesses are being offered through its website structure and messaging work. The service is described as a way to create faster data extraction paths so automated systems can read and classify a business more easily.
Columbus Marketing Experts also tied the launch to recent recognition in the region. The company said it won BusinessRate’s Best of Marketing Agency in Hilliard, Ohio, for 2025 and 2026 and was selected as a Central Ohio Better Business Bureau Spark Award finalist.
The agency also cited BusinessRate recognition from 2024 through 2026 for Thera-fi Counseling Services as an example of its marketing work for a client. It did not disclose pricing or a rollout schedule for the new technical tier.
