Rainwater Drake Dental has replaced the Hawkins Rainwater Dental Group name at a West Little Rock dental office that has operated in the community for more than 30 years. For patients, the change is largely administrative: the practice says the office, dentists, appointments, treatment plans and patient records remain the same.

The practice is located at 12921 Cantrell Road, Suite 301, near Sam Peck Road and Cantrell Road. It is led by Dr. David Rainwater, Dr. Michael Drake and Dr. Sukhmani Scott.

The rebrand puts the names of Rainwater and Drake on the practice while retaining its existing services. In dental care, name changes can raise practical questions for patients about records, insurance coordination, ongoing treatment and provider relationships; the practice is emphasizing continuity across those areas.

Rainwater said the new name is intended to give the office a clearer identity while preserving the patient relationships and care standards built over time. He said the practice’s goal remains helping patients understand their oral health, review options and make decisions about treatment.

Broad dental services stay in place

The office provides preventive, family, restorative, cosmetic, implant, emergency and full-arch rehabilitation dentistry. Its service mix covers routine care as well as more complex work that can involve implants, crowns, veneers, aligners or larger restorative treatment plans.

Services listed by the practice include:

  • Dental exams, cleanings and preventive care
  • Family dentistry for children, adults and older patients
  • Fillings, crowns and bridges
  • Cosmetic dentistry, veneers and smile design
  • Dental implants and full-arch rehabilitation
  • Clear aligner treatment
  • Emergency dental appointments, depending on availability
  • Digital X-rays, 3D imaging and intraoral scanning
  • Nitrous oxide and oral sedation
  • Cosmetic and therapeutic facial injectable services

Drake said offering a wide range of care in one office can make treatment more convenient for patients and families. The practice also says its digital imaging and scanning equipment is used for diagnosis, treatment planning and explaining findings to patients.

Doctors’ roles at the practice

Rainwater, a Little Rock native, has been with the practice since 2013. His clinical work includes complex restorative and cosmetic dentistry, implants and full-arch rehabilitation, with a focus on patients who need more extensive treatment.

Drake, also from Little Rock, has pursued continuing education in occlusion, implant dentistry, cosmetic dentistry and full-arch rehabilitation. His areas of work include implants, veneers, clear aligners, smile design and comprehensive restorative care, and he provides professional education on full-arch rehabilitation techniques.

Scott completed a hospital-based general practice residency after dental school. She provides preventive, restorative and family dental care, and has additional certification in cosmetic and therapeutic facial injectable services.

The West Little Rock dental practice rebrand does not move the office from Cantrell Road. The practice says it will continue serving patients from Little Rock and nearby communities, with office hours Monday through Thursday and a shorter schedule on Friday.
