Thirdlove’s TempSync T-Shirt Bra performed well in a yearlong test by NBC Selected reporter Zoe Malin, who said it reduced heat buildup and dried quickly during regular wear. The review matters for shoppers looking for a lined bra that offers support while addressing sweat and overheating.

Malin said Thirdlove sent her a sample when the bra launched in May 2025. After more than a year of use, she said she owns the bra in nearly every color and wears it more often than other bras because it supports her 36D chest while staying breathable in warm weather and indoors under heavy winter layers.

The bra costs $82 at ThirdLove, according to NBC Selected. It is sold in band sizes 32 to 42 and cup sizes A to H, including half-cup sizes. Thirdlove recommends washing it cold by hand or in a garment bag and laying it flat to dry.

What Thirdlove says the bra is designed to do

Thirdlove says the TempSync T-Shirt Bra uses 37.5 Tech fabric, which contains active particles made from naturally occurring volcanic minerals. According to Thirdlove, those particles respond to body heat and humidity, help regulate temperature, move moisture away from the skin, dry quickly and resist odor.

The company says the thermoregulating minerals are built into the fabric rather than added as a surface treatment, so the effect should not wash away over time. NBC Selected also reported that the bra has perforated cups and a mesh center bridge, both meant to improve airflow.

Beyond the cooling features, the bra has moderate coverage, flexible underwire, an adjustable hook-and-eye back closure and convertible straps that can be worn straight or crossed in back, according to NBC Selected. Malin said the tagless design also avoids scratching or itching.

How it performed

Malin said the bra did not feel cold on her skin, but it allowed enough air movement that it did not make her feel warmer. She compared it with other T-shirt bras she likes from Natori and Spanx and said those held more heat than the Thirdlove bra in her experience.

She also said the bra did not stop sweat entirely. Instead, she found that the fabric absorbed moisture and began drying before it felt saturated, which helped prevent a sticky feeling and kept moisture marks from appearing on clothing.

Malin said the bra gave her the lift, shaping and nipple coverage she wants from a lined bra while feeling closer to an unlined bra in breathability. She said it worked under fitted clothing and most moderate-to-high necklines, though she would not choose it for low-cut tops.

Limitations and durability

After wearing the bras multiple times a week and washing them about once a week for more than a year, Malin said she noticed the upper edge of the cups beginning to roll outward. She said the issue created visible lines under some clothing.

Malin said a small number of reviewers on Thirdlove’s website reported the same problem, though she did not describe it as widespread. NBC Selected also cited experts who previously told the outlet that a bra’s typical lifespan is six months to a year.

TIME included the TempSync T-Shirt Bra on its list of the Best Inventions of 2025, according to NBC Selected. The TempSync line also includes wireless bras, sports bras, underwear, anti-chafe shorts, bike shorts and leggings that use the same cooling technology, NBC Selected reported.
