Pemi has launched its Pemi perimenopause supplements in the United States, entering a growing market for products tailored to specific concerns during the transition before menopause. The direct-to-consumer line consists of three oral dissolving strips positioned around mood, mental clarity and sleep.

The launch, announced Sept. 4, gives consumers separate options rather than one broad formula: Luna for daily calm mood support, Clara for mental clarity and focus, and Sera for sleep and relaxation. The products are sold individually and in a sampler bundle through the company’s website, with U.S. shipping available.

What are Pemi’s perimenopause supplements?

Each product is a thin strip designed to dissolve on the tongue in about 30 seconds without water. The format places Pemi in the symptom-specific segment of the menopause supplement category, where brands increasingly offer separate products for areas such as sleep, mood and cognition, according to NutraIngredients.

Luna contains Affron saffron extract, L-theanine and vitamin B6. Clara combines citicoline, alpha-GPC, N-acetyl-L-tyrosine and B vitamins, while Sera contains melatonin, L-theanine, lavender and L-tryptophan.

  • Luna: a mood-focused strip with saffron extract, L-theanine and vitamin B6.
  • Clara: a focus and mental-clarity strip with citicoline, alpha-GPC, N-acetyl-L-tyrosine and B vitamins.
  • Sera: a sleep and relaxation strip with melatonin, L-theanine, lavender and L-tryptophan.

Pemi says its products are intended to be used consistently as part of a daily routine. The company also says research involving Affron saffron extract found improvements in mood-related measures after regular use, including benefits observed after four weeks; that statement concerns the ingredient, rather than establishing results for Luna or the other finished formulas.

The brand is aimed at perimenopause, the period leading up to menopause. Pemi describes the stage as one in which women may notice changes in mood, focus, sleep and energy, while existing supplements have often focused on later-stage menopause concerns such as hot flashes.

Beyond the strips, Pemi says memberships include a private community, ingredient and product education, and a journal intended to help users track routines and how they feel. The company plans additional products for women in perimenopause.

Its perimenopause oral-strip supplements are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent disease, according to the announcement, which also says the products’ statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. Pemi advises customers to consult health care providers about what is appropriate for their individual needs.
