Taylor Ridge Paving & Construction has been ranked the top paving contractor in Davenport by Small Business Trendsetters, giving the Quad Cities company a visibility boost in a field where trust and follow-through matter to property owners. The 2026 ranking placed Taylor Ridge first across all five measures reviewed by Small Business Trendsetters. The publication pointed to the company’s A+ BBB rating, a 5.0 Google rating, its ownership of an asphalt plant and its ability to meet bonding standards for public-sector and larger commercial jobs.

The company was founded in 2011 by Chris Dowell, who began working in paving in 1996 and later ran paving operations at General Asphalt before starting Taylor Ridge.
