LingoPlus expands certified translation services across Germany
The Paderborn-based provider is widening access to sworn translation, legal and business language services through a digital ordering workflow.

LingoPlus is expanding the availability of its certified translation services across Germany, targeting clients who need documents accepted for legal, corporate and official purposes. The Paderborn-based agency is positioning the rollout around demand from businesses, mobile individuals and institutions that depend on sworn translations.
The company traces its roots to a translation initiative started in 2010 and now provides services nationwide. Its work covers certified translations for official use, legal and corporate documents, and specialized business materials for sectors such as software, financial technology, engineering and logistics.
Certified translations occupy a practical but high-stakes part of the language services market. Birth certificates, marriage records, diplomas, contracts and company documents often need to be translated by authorized professionals before they can be used with authorities, courts, employers, universities or foreign institutions.
Founder Basel Layous said the company aims to combine sworn translator accuracy with digital processes for customers across Germany. Layous, a graduate in computer science and economics, has worked as a sworn translator and authorized interpreter since 2010 and has also founded other ventures, including the software-as-a-service company Magnet Domain.
LingoPlus organizes its services around several categories:
- Legal and corporate translations, including contracts, corporate statutes and legal documentation tied to international business.
- Official document translations, including birth certificates, marriage certificates, diplomas and other records requested by German authorities or foreign institutions.
- Technical and business translations, including terminology-focused work for SaaS, fintech, engineering and logistics clients.
The agency uses a hybrid staffing model that combines an in-house team of sworn translators with a network of authorized interpreters and specialized linguists. According to LingoPlus, that structure is designed to support both individual certificate orders and larger multi-document business projects.
The expansion also reflects a broader shift in translation work toward online ordering, project tracking and remote delivery, especially for clients who need documents processed without visiting a local office. LingoPlus says it has invested in secure data transmission and automated project tracking to make the process easier to follow from order placement through delivery.
The company’s digital-first approach is aimed at legal, corporate and mobility-related use cases, where delays can affect visa applications, employment, university admissions, business registration or cross-border transactions. Its certified translation services across Germany are now presented as a national offering rather than a local Paderborn service.
For LingoPlus, the nationwide push places it in a competitive field that includes traditional translation bureaus, freelance sworn translators and online language-service platforms. The company is betting that official-document expertise and online workflow tools will appeal to clients who need certified output with clearer administration.
