The milestone gives the small operator another selling point as it opens fall and Halloween 2026 bookings for ghost and history tours in Flagstaff, Prescott and Tucson.
The mother-and-son-owned business began in Flagstaff in 2015 and has since grown into a three-city tour company. Freaky Foot Tours says it started with less than $150 in capital and has guided more than 30,000 guests over 10 years.
The company runs year-round evening ghost tours in all three cities, along with daytime history tours in Flagstaff and Prescott. Walking tours occupy a durable niche in travel services: they turn local history, architecture and folklore into low-overhead experiences led by guides rather than vehicles or fixed attractions.

Fall is a key sales period for ghost-tour operators because Halloween drives demand for haunted-history outings. The company says October departures tend to fill first, with Friday and Saturday evening slots selling out earliest.
Bookings are now open for Arizona ghost and history walking tours in the fall and Halloween 2026 season. The tours are led by local guides, and the company lists free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure.

Freaky Foot Tours reports a 5.0-star Google rating in Flagstaff and a 4.9 rating on TripAdvisor. It says TripAdvisor ranks it No. 1 among 65 tours and activities in Flagstaff and No. 1 among 36 tours and activities in Prescott.
The company also points to three Best of Flagstaff wins in the Guided Tour Company category for 2023, 2024 and 2025, as listed by Discover Flagstaff, the city’s destination marketing organization. Those rankings are part of the company’s pitch as it moves from a local startup story into a regional travel-services brand.
Co-founder Susan Johnson, who wrote the books “Haunted Flagstaff” and “Wicked Flagstaff” and writes a weekly “Flagstaff History” column for the Arizona Daily Sun, said the tours are built from archival research, including newspapers and court records. “Guests can feel the difference between research and a script,” Johnson said.
Daytime history tours are also part of the 2026 calendar. In Flagstaff, the Route 66 Walking Tour follows the road’s original 1926 downtown alignment for 90 minutes as Route 66 approaches its 100th anniversary on Nov. 11, 2026.
Co-founder Nick Jones credited the review milestone to the company’s guides. “Guests come for the ghost stories,” Jones said. “The reviews, again and again, are about the person telling them.”
