Woot is selling the Nintendo Switch 2 below list price during Prime Day, with the lowest price reserved for new customers, according to The Verge. The deal matters for buyers considering the console before a reported September price increase.
The Verge reported that Woot is offering the base Nintendo Switch 2 for $419.99 when shoppers enter the code CHEAPSWITCH2 at checkout. New Woot customers can bring the price to $399.99 with the same code, according to the report.
The offer runs through June 26, The Verge said. The publication described it as an improvement on a smaller Woot discount from the previous week, when the retailer had taken $15 off the console.
How the discount compares
The Verge’s listing showed the Switch 2 at $420, down from $450, a 7% cut. For new Woot customers who qualify for the $399.99 price, the discount reaches $50.
The Verge also reported that the Switch 2 is expected to rise to $499.99 in September. Against that coming price, the Woot offer gives buyers a lower entry point before the console becomes more expensive.
Woot, an online deals retailer owned by Amazon, is running the promotion during Prime Day, according to The Verge. The report did not say how many consoles Woot has available or whether the discount could end before June 26 if inventory sells out.
What comes with the console
The Verge described the Nintendo Switch 2 as a handheld-and-TV gaming system with a 7.9-inch LCD screen. The console uses magnetically attached Joy-Con 2 controllers and supports most games made for the original Switch, according to the publication.
The Verge cited exclusive Switch 2 games including Donkey Kong Bananza and Kirby Air Riders. It also said the system already has a broad library despite being a little more than a year old.
Nintendo recently held a Direct presentation that included several upcoming Switch 2 games for 2026 and 2027, The Verge reported. Among the announcements was a modern reimagining of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, which the publication said is due later in 2026.
The deal gives interested buyers a short window to get the console below the standard price. According to The Verge, the combination of current savings and the coming price increase makes the Woot offer notable for anyone already planning to buy Nintendo’s newer system.
