The Verge has updated its 2026 Father’s Day gift guide with staff recommendations for shoppers looking for tech, home, outdoor and leisure gifts. Father’s Day falls on June 21, and the guide is aimed at readers buying for fathers with different budgets and interests, according to The Verge editor Cameron Faulkner.

The Verge said its staff focused on gifts meant to make daily life easier, more enjoyable or more practical. Vox Media may earn a commission from purchases made through Verge links, according to the publication’s disclosure.

Budget ranges and smaller picks

The guide sorts ideas by spending level, including under $20, $21 to $50, $51 to $150, $151 to $400 and $401 or more. Among the lower-cost recommendations, The Verge lists the Wuben G5 rechargeable flashlight at $20 at Walmart and Wuben, or $21 at Amazon for Prime members.

According to The Verge, the Wuben G5 is about the size of a Zippo lighter and includes USB-C charging, an adjustable clip and a rotating light that can show multiple colors. The guide also includes the Cotopaxi Tech Bucket Hat at $45, describing it as a quick-drying outdoor hat with breathable fabric and coverage for sun exposure.

For desk setups, The Verge recommends the Huanuo FlowLift Pro monitor arm, listed at $30 for Amazon Prime members after a 33% discount. The guide says the arm can free up desk space by lifting a display off its stand.

Books, tools and practical gear

The Verge includes The Complete Calvin and Hobbes, listed at $89 at Amazon with an on-page coupon and $134 at Target. The guide says the collection includes every daily and Sunday strip from Bill Watterson’s series, which ran from 1985 to 1995.

For car emergencies, The Verge lists the Noco GB40 UltraSafe Jumpstarter at $100 from Amazon, Home Depot and AutoZone. The guide says the rechargeable unit can start six-liter gas engines or three-liter diesel engines and includes USB ports for phone charging.

The guide also points to Werewolf’s VFLEX Starter Kit, priced at $48. According to The Verge, the kit uses programmable dongles and a mobile app to replace some barrel-plug power supplies with USB-C power from a battery or wall adapter.

Higher-priced electronics and home gifts

Several recommendations fall into the $250 to $399 range. The Verge lists Govee’s Smart Ceiling Light Ultra at $250, saying the fixture can provide up to 5,000 lumens, adjust color temperature, show colorful scenes and change automatically through the day.

The guide recommends Remarkable Paper Pure at $399, describing it as a note-taking tablet with an included Marker, long battery life and tools for importing, exporting and editing documents. It also lists Alienware’s 27-inch AW2726DM QD-OLED monitor at $350 from Dell and Best Buy, with 1440p resolution, a 240Hz refresh rate, multiple video inputs and a three-year warranty, according to The Verge.

For audio, The Verge includes Bose’s Lifestyle Ultra Speaker at $299 from Amazon, Bose and Best Buy. The guide says the wireless speaker supports AirPlay 2, Google Cast and Bluetooth, and can link with other units over Wi-Fi for multi-room playback.

Outdoor cooking also appears in the guide: The Verge lists the Solo Stove Steelfire 22-inch Stainless Griddle at $399. According to the guide, it reaches searing temperatures in seven minutes, heats about 35% faster than cast iron and uses a three-ply clad stainless surface that does not require seasoning.
