Roborock’s Q10 S5 Plus robot vacuum and mop is selling for $269.99 at Wellbots with the promo code NEW10, according to The Verge. The deal matters for shoppers looking below $300 because The Verge says the price is $280 off and matches the lowest it has seen for the model.
The Verge reported that the Wellbots price is the best it has tracked since Black Friday last year. The publication also said the same robot vacuum is available for $10 more at Amazon and through Roborock’s own online store.
The Q10 S5 Plus combines vacuuming and mopping in one device and includes a self-emptying charging dock, according to The Verge. The outlet described the model as a strong budget pick because it brings several features usually associated with more expensive robot vacuums into a lower price range.
What the Q10 S5 Plus includes
According to The Verge, the Q10 S5 Plus uses AI-assisted obstacle detection and navigation to move around clutter and reduce the chances of getting stuck. The robot also supports automatic carpet detection, and its mop can raise itself when it reaches rugs, The Verge reported.
The Verge said its testing found the robot’s flat vibrating mop pad effective at removing dirt while being careful on more delicate flooring. The outlet also reported that the mop did not leave floors overly wet in its tests.
When the cleaning run is done, the dock empties the robot’s dustbin and recharges it, according to The Verge. That setup cuts down on routine upkeep compared with a robot vacuum that requires the user to empty the onboard bin after cleanings.
Where it falls short
The Verge noted that Roborock made trade-offs to keep the Q10 S5 Plus at a lower price. The publication compared it with Roborock’s higher-end Saros 20, which it said costs $1,600.
According to The Verge, the Q10 S5 Plus cannot get over taller thresholds the way the Saros 20 can. The outlet also said the Q10 S5 Plus has 10,000Pa of suction, well below the Saros 20’s 36,000Pa system.
The dock is another area where the cheaper model gives up some conveniences, The Verge reported. It does not automatically wash the mop or refill the water tank, so owners still have to handle those jobs themselves.
Even with those limits, The Verge characterized the Q10 S5 Plus as a notable value at the current sale price. The publication said the robot’s obstacle avoidance, rug-aware mopping and self-emptying dock make the sub-$300 deal stand out in the budget robot vacuum category.
