Amazon Prime Day 2026 is set to begin June 23, with The Verge tracking early discounts and preparing broader deal coverage as the sale opens. The event matters for gadget shoppers because The Verge expects price cuts across several major tech categories, including headphones, smart home devices, smartwatches, monitors and 4K TVs.

The Verge said the sale is scheduled to end at 3:01AM ET on June 27. Its guide brings together early offers, category roundups and shopping advice for readers who want to compare prices or find discounts outside Amazon as well as on the retailer’s own site.

Early deals already listed

The Verge has highlighted several pre-sale discounts before the official start date. Sheena Vasani reported that Amazon’s Echo Dot Max has reached its lowest listed price in an early Prime Day promotion, describing the device as Amazon’s strongest all-around speaker and a capable smart home hub.

Vasani also reported that Nothing’s Ear (a) wireless earbuds are down to $53 ahead of Prime Day. The Verge said the earbuds include active noise cancellation, a low-latency mode and multipoint pairing.

Amazon’s Smart Thermostat is also part of the early coverage, with Vasani reporting a sale price of $58. The Verge said the Alexa-compatible thermostat can learn routines and help users monitor energy use.

Brad Bourque reported that an Amazon Fire TV sound system is discounted by more than $100 before Prime Day. The Verge said the wireless package includes a soundbar, two satellite speakers and a subwoofer.

Apple, audio and streaming offers

The Verge’s early deal list also includes Apple and audio products. Cameron Faulkner reported that AirPods Pro 3 are selling for $179 at Walmart, which The Verge described as their best listed price. The Verge said Apple’s latest wireless earbuds are a strong option for iPhone users at that price.

Vasani reported that Bose’s latest QuietComfort Ultra headphones are $70 off, which The Verge described as a new low price. The Verge said the over-ear headphones add lossless audio over USB-C and longer battery life.

The guide also points to deals beyond hardware. The Verge listed a Paramount Plus promotion offering two months of ad-free viewing for $2 and an HBO Max offer with annual plans marked down by 28 percent.

Shopping advice and category roundups

The Verge said its Prime Day package includes advice on finding deals and checking price-match policies. It specifically pointed readers to guidance on retailers such as Best Buy and GameStop, as well as broader tips from Cameron Faulkner and Vasani on tracking Prime Day discounts.

The publication has also organized category pages for Apple deals, robot vacuum deals and early Prime Day offers. Additional highlighted deals in its hub include a Kindle Colorsoft bundle nearly half off, Apple’s latest AirTags at a low price and a year of Walmart Plus at half off.

The Verge said more Prime Day deals are expected once the sale starts, including offers it has not yet detailed. Its coverage frames the event as a wider shopping period rather than a single-retailer sale, with discounts appearing at Amazon and at other stores competing around the same dates.
