Philips Hue products are seeing Prime Day markdowns across bulbs, lamps, switches and sensors, according to a June 26 roundup by The Verge. The cuts matter for smart-home buyers because The Verge says Hue gear does not often receive large discounts, and some offers are lower through Philips Hue’s own store than at Amazon.
The Verge reported that the sale spans entry-level kits, decorative lights, home-theater accessories and controls. The largest listed percentage cut is on the Philips Hue smart bulb starter kit, which The Verge said is down to $68 at Amazon for a two-bulb bundle from a listed $143 price.
That starter kit includes color-changing bulbs and a Hue Bridge, according to The Verge. The kit works with Alexa, Google Assistant and the Philips Hue app, and the bridge supports custom routines and expansion to as many as 50 lights, The Verge reported.
Highlighted Prime Day prices
- The Philips Hue Twilight sleep-wake lamp is $262 at Amazon and Best Buy, down from $308, according to The Verge.
- The Philips Hue Essential 16-foot strip light is $51 at Amazon, compared with a listed $60 price, The Verge reported.
- The Philips Hue Go Smart Portable Table Lamp is $123 at Amazon, down from $180; Best Buy has it for $139, according to The Verge.
- The Philips Hue Play HDMI Sync Box 8K is $308 at Best Buy, reduced from $385, The Verge said.
- The Philips Hue Gradient Signe Floor Lamp is $258 at Amazon, down from $380, according to The Verge.
The Verge described the Twilight as a bedside lamp built around sleep and wake routines, with two light sources and low dimming. The Essential strip light is part of Philips Hue’s newer Essentials line and can run with or without a Hue bridge, The Verge reported.
For portable lighting, The Verge listed the Hue Go Smart Portable Table Lamp as water resistant, rechargeable and capable of running for 48 hours on a charge. The publication also said it supports Matter, which allows control through major smart-home systems.
The home-theater deal centers on the Hue Play HDMI Sync Box 8K. The Verge reported that the box can match Hue lights to HDMI video sources, supports up to 8K at 60Hz, includes four inputs and can sync as many as 10 lights.
Switches and sensors are also discounted
The Verge also found lower prices on accessories used to control Hue setups. The Philips Hue Smart Button is $28 at Amazon, reduced from $33, while the Smart Dimmer Switch Remote is $22 at Amazon from $31, according to the roundup.
The Tap Dial Switch is $42 at Amazon, down from $55, The Verge reported. The publication said the Tap Dial requires a Hue Bridge and works with Apple Home, Alexa, Google and SmartThings.
Some of the better accessory prices are directly from Philips Hue, according to The Verge. The Smart Dimmer Switch Remote is $23 at Philips Hue with code GOAL25, and the Outdoor Motion Sensor is $41 through Philips Hue with the same code, compared with $43 at Amazon, The Verge reported.
The Verge also listed Philips Hue Festavia string lights at $195 for the 65-foot version through Philips Hue, $199 at Amazon for the same length and $337 at Amazon for the 130-foot version. The publication reported that the string lights come in three lengths, work over Bluetooth, support major smart-home platforms and are Matter-compatible.
