Nothing’s Ear (a) wireless earbuds have fallen to $53.20 for the black model in an early Prime Day sale at Amazon, according to The Verge. The publication says the price is a new low for the earbuds, cutting about $47 from their usual price.

The Verge reports that the yellow and white versions are also discounted, selling for about $3 more through Amazon and Nothing. The deal puts a set of budget earbuds with noise cancellation and multipoint Bluetooth well below their regular price ahead of Amazon’s main Prime Day promotion.

The Ear (a) sit in Nothing’s lower-cost audio lineup, but The Verge says they include several features usually associated with pricier wireless earbuds. Those include active noise cancellation, a low-latency gaming mode, Bluetooth multipoint support for connecting to two devices at once, Android Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair.

The Verge also notes a feature aimed at Nothing phone owners: a pinch gesture that can bring up ChatGPT. That integration was announced by Nothing in 2024, according to The Verge, and is part of the company’s broader software tie-ins between its phones and earbuds.

On audio quality, The Verge describes the Ear (a) as strong for the price, with lively sound and noise reduction designed to limit distractions. The publication also says Nothing improved call quality with AI-based voice isolation, which is meant to make speech clearer in noisy places.

The earbuds ship with three sizes of silicone tips, according to The Verge, giving users a few fit options. The Verge says they carry an IP54 rating, meaning they have protection against dust and splashes such as sweat or light rain.

Battery life is listed at up to eight hours before the earbuds need to be recharged, The Verge reports. The earbuds come with Nothing’s translucent charging case, a design detail the company has used across several of its audio products.

Other Nothing discounts

The Verge also highlighted other audio deals from Nothing’s sale. The CMF Buds 2A are priced at $29 at Amazon in black, white and orange, according to the publication.

The Verge says the CMF Buds 2A offer noise cancellation, customizable equalizer settings, multipoint connectivity and IP54 dust and water resistance. The publication characterizes their sound and noise cancellation as decent for the reduced price.

Nothing’s Headphone A over-ear model is also discounted to $151 at Amazon, The Verge reports, with black, white and pink versions listed at that price. According to The Verge, the headphones include physical controls, good sound and more than five days of battery life per charge, though they do not include every feature found on the more expensive Nothing Headphone 1.
