Logitech’s MX Master 3S wireless mouse is selling for $89.99 at Amazon, a $30 discount from its listed $119.99 price. The Verge reports that the deal matches the best price it has tracked for the mouse so far this year.

The discount matters for buyers looking at a higher-end productivity mouse that works across major desktop platforms. According to The Verge, the MX Master 3S supports Windows, macOS, ChromeOS and Linux, and can connect over Bluetooth or with an included USB-A 2.4GHz wireless receiver.

The MX Master 3S is built around office and productivity use rather than gaming. The Verge highlights its secondary scroll wheel near the thumb, which can be useful for moving sideways through spreadsheets and other wide documents.

The mouse also includes six buttons, according to The Verge. Its buttons can be customized through Logitech’s software, allowing users to remap controls for specific tasks or shortcuts.

The Verge says the mouse has been popular among some of its staff because of its shape, thumb rest and customization options. The device can also be used with a USB-C cable while it charges, according to The Verge.

Battery and connectivity

Logitech says the MX Master 3S can run for about 70 days on a charge. In The Verge’s review, the battery drained somewhat faster than Logitech’s estimate, though The Verge noted that charging does not prevent the mouse from being used.

The available connection options make the mouse relatively flexible for people who move between computers. The Verge reports that users can pair it over Bluetooth, use the bundled 2.4GHz receiver or plug it in with a USB-C cable.

How it compares with the newer model

Logitech also sells the MX Master 4 for $119.99, according to The Verge. That newer version adds haptic feedback when the thumb rest is pressed, along with several smaller updates to the same basic mouse design.

The Verge characterizes the MX Master 4’s haptics as an interesting addition, but says those changes may not justify paying $30 more for some buyers. At the current Amazon price, the MX Master 3S undercuts the newer model while retaining the core features that made the line popular among productivity users.

As with most online discounts, the Amazon price may change without notice. The Verge says the $89.99 listing represents a 25 percent discount from the mouse’s $119.99 price.
