Govee’s Table Lamp Classic has fallen to $59.99 at Amazon, The Verge reported June 12, putting the rechargeable smart lamp $20 below its usual price. The discount is notable for shoppers looking for a portable smart light that works indoors and can be carried to patios or gatherings, though The Verge says it is not built for wet conditions.

According to The Verge, the Amazon price requires an on-page coupon and marks the lowest price the publication has seen for the lamp. The Verge also noted that Govee lists the lamp for $64 through its own store.

The lamp runs on a rechargeable battery that can last up to 30 hours on one charge, The Verge reported. Its portable design makes it easy to move around, but The Verge cautioned that it lacks weather resistance, so it should be kept away from pools and brought indoors if rain is expected.

The Verge said the Table Lamp Classic reaches up to 500 lumens at peak brightness, which means it is not among the brighter lighting options. It supports adjustable color temperatures from 2700K to 6500K, giving users a range from warm to cooler white light.

The lamp also includes preset scenes and color effects, according to The Verge, including an effect that can respond to music. The publication said Govee’s app can create custom lighting effects using AI.

Smart home support is part of the appeal. The Verge reported that the lamp supports Matter and can be controlled through major smart home platforms, by voice command or through Govee’s app.
