Solar Shade Window Tint says it has opened its second Northeast Florida location in St. Augustine, adding a shop alongside its Jacksonville operation. The reported expansion gives local drivers, homeowners and businesses another provider of automotive surface protection and window-film services.
The company lists the St. Augustine shop at 205 Waler Way #7-8, St. Augustine, FL 32086. Its announcement, distributed Oct. 6, identifies Jacksonville as the original location and describes Solar Shade as veteran-owned.
Where is Solar Shade Window Tint’s St. Augustine location?
Solar Shade’s website lists its St. Augustine address as 205 Waler Way #7-8. The company’s Jacksonville location is at 6410 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32216.
Co-owner Tony Bozzi said customers in St. Augustine had asked for a nearer location. That account of local demand comes from the company’s announcement; it did not include figures on customers, staffing or investment tied to the expansion.
What services will the St. Augustine shop offer?
The shop advertises auto window tinting, paint protection film, ceramic coating and vinyl wraps for vehicles. Solar Shade says its paint protection film is intended to protect vehicle paint from road wear.
For buildings, the company lists residential and commercial window film, including products it markets for heat reduction, UV protection, privacy, decorative uses and security. It also advertises work for fleets and storefronts, as well as specialty offerings such as security film, turtle glass film and decorative glass film.
Window film is a material installed on glass for uses that can include tinting, privacy, decoration or security, depending on the product. The company says customers at its St. Augustine window-film location can choose among automotive, home, commercial and specialty-glass services.
What does the expansion mean for local customers?
The new site places Solar Shade’s advertised service menu in St. Johns County rather than requiring customers to use its Jacksonville shop. The company says it focuses on surface preparation, film alignment and helping customers select films for their stated needs; those are company descriptions of its installation approach.
Solar Shade also says it is an authorized dealer for LLumar and 3M films and offers lifetime warranties on select home films. Those product and warranty statements are made by the company.
St. Johns County generally requires businesses operating in the county to obtain zoning approval and a local business tax receipt, according to county guidance. The supplied material does not establish whether Solar Shade has received those approvals or receipts.
