Hasbro has introduced Blooms by Play-Doh, a new product line aimed at adults who want to make floral decor from the brand’s familiar modeling compound. NBC Select reported that it is Play-Doh’s first line designed specifically for grown-up users.
The kits use Play-Doh as a craft material for building bouquets that can be displayed at home or on a desk. According to NBC Select, each kit includes the compound, flower-shaping tools, a vase and a finishing spray meant to help the finished flowers keep their form for months.
What the kits include
NBC Select reported that the Blooms kits guide users through shaping petals and assembling arrangements. The line currently includes six kits with different flower themes, with prices ranging from $25 to $40.
The products are being sold through Target, Walmart and Amazon, though NBC Select reported that no single retailer carries the entire collection. Refills are also available for people who want to make more flowers from the kits.
Some items from the Blooms by Play-Doh line are also set to be sold on TikTok beginning July 16, according to NBC Select. Play-Doh is offering video instructions on its YouTube channel for people who want help making the bouquets.
The six kits
- Garden Flower Bouquet Kit: NBC Select reported that this $39.99 Target kit and $39.97 Walmart kit makes 20 floral-scented blooms in white, yellow and pink, with greenery and a clear vase included.
- Wildflower Petite Flower Kit: This smaller bouquet kit is listed at $24.99 at Target and $24.97 at Walmart, according to NBC Select. It makes 12 blooms in six soft colors and uses a roller tool.
- Rosy Petite Flower Kit: NBC Select reported that this kit makes a 20-bloom rose-style bouquet in blue, pink, purple, white and yellow, with five faux greenery stems and a vase. It is listed at $24.99 at Target and $24.97 at Walmart.
- Meadow Flower Bouquet Kit: This kit is listed at $39.99 at Amazon and Target and $39.97 at Walmart, according to NBC Select. It includes a plunger tool for making small blossom clusters in several colors, plus hand-shaped accents and greenery.
- Bluebell Petite Flower Kit: NBC Select reported that Walmart sells this $24.97 kit, which is designed to create a petite bluebell arrangement in soft periwinkle tones.
- Blush Bouquet Kit: Amazon lists this larger bouquet kit at $39.99, according to NBC Select. The kit creates a blush-pink arrangement with rounded blossoms on slender stems.
NBC Select described the line as part of a broader adult crafting trend that uses childhood toy brands in home decor projects, comparing the concept to Lego’s botanical sets. The Play-Doh version centers on molding and sealing flowers rather than building with bricks.
Although the kits are marketed for adults, NBC Select noted that adults can also use them with children. Hasbro’s positioning gives Play-Doh a new use case beyond open-ended kids’ play: a guided craft project meant to end with a display piece.
