ACAP 2026 conference closes in Singapore with new undergraduate forum
East Asia Research reported 165 authors from 16 countries at ACAP2026, where a new undergraduate forum ran alongside well-being research.

The East Asia Research ACAP 2026 conference concluded in Singapore on July 30-31, bringing a new undergraduate research forum into an international applied-psychology meeting centered on mental health and well-being. East Asia Research reported that the hybrid event at the Holiday Inn Singapore Atrium drew 165 authors from 16 countries and included 59 presentations.
The gathering used the theme “Mental Health and Well-being in a Diverse, Connected World.” Its programme paired research on later-life cognitive health with a session examining well-being in the digital age, two subjects that speak to psychology’s role in addressing changing health and social conditions.
What happened at the ACAP 2026 conference?
According to the announcement, Dr. Peera Wongupparaj of Chulalongkorn University delivered a keynote on detecting cognitive decline early and developing interventions for older adults. Dr. Jean Liu of the Singapore Institute of Technology gave a keynote titled “The Pursuit of Happiness: Understanding Well-being in a Digital Age.”
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Juthatip Wiwattanapantuwong of Chulalongkorn University chaired the conference, East Asia Research said. The event was supported by Chulalongkorn University’s Applied Psychological Research Program, Psychology Center for Life-Span Development and Intergeneration, and Research Unit on Disaster Psychology and Well-being, as well as the Thai Psychological Association.
New forum targets undergraduate researchers
The Undergraduate Research Conference ran alongside the main event for the first time. According to the announcement, the forum was intended to give undergraduate students experience of an international conference, opportunities to present work and receive feedback, and practice in communicating research.
Students from Nara University of Education and Hong Kong Shue Yan University presented posters, the organizer reported. Dr. Pimjuta Nimmapirat of Chulalongkorn University also led a workshop on research-poster presentation skills.
Ni Made Adinda Putri Puspitarani of Universitas Airlangga in Indonesia received the Best Paper Award for “The Psychological Effects of Medical Rehabilitation on Depression Among Stroke Patients: A Scoping Review.” Assoc. Prof. Dr. Panrapee Suttiwan of Chulalongkorn University presented the award, according to East Asia Research.
What happens after ACAP2026?
Selected papers are planned for Applied Psychology in Asia – Selected Papers from the Asian Conference on Applied Psychology 2026, a Springer Nature volume. The announcement described the volume as planned.
East Asia Research has scheduled ACAP2027 for Singapore on July 15-17, 2027. The organizer said its call for papers is due to open in October 2026.
