G.L. Hunt Foundation Repair has been named Fort Worth Magazine’s 2026 Reader Pick for Home Repair Service. The G.L. Hunt Best of Fort Worth recognition is a local business milestone because it came through the magazine’s reader voting program rather than an editorial selection.

Fort Worth Magazine lists G.L. Hunt among its Home & Garden reader winners for 2026. The designation identifies the company as the winner in the Home Repair Service category; it does not represent an editor pick or a broader ranking of all home-repair providers.

How did G.L. Hunt win Best of Fort Worth?

Fort Worth Magazine says it collects and tallies reader nominations and votes each year across 170 categories through a secure voting platform. The publication limited voting to one vote per hour and restricted eligibility to people and businesses that live or operate in its Greater Fort Worth area, covering Tarrant, Parker, Johnson, Wise, Hood and Denton counties.

The magazine’s rules also limit a person or business to recognition in two categories. If a nominee led three or more categories, the two categories with its highest vote totals were recognized, while the runner-up became the reader winner in the others.

Reader Picks and Editor Picks follow separate tracks. After the reader selections, Fort Worth Magazine’s editorial staff and contributing writers made their own choices, intentionally avoiding duplicates of reader winners, according to the publication. The magazine also says advertising relationships do not affect its editorial selections.

What services does G.L. Hunt provide?

G.L. Hunt says it was founded by Gary Hunt in 1987 and is now led by second-generation owner and CEO Hayden Slack. The family-owned provider offers foundation repair, crawl-space work, drainage correction, gutter systems and related structural services across the Dallas-Fort Worth area, East Texas, Waco and Central Texas, according to the company.

For homeowners considering structural or water-management work, the company says its Fort Worth foundation repair services include free inspections, financing options, transferable warranties and lifetime service warranties on qualifying jobs. Financing can affect the total cost of a project because borrowing adds interest and fees to the amount repaid.

Slack said the reader-voted result reflected the company’s relationships with homeowners. G.L. Hunt also says it has received more than 3,000 five-star reviews from homeowners in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
